Hipaku was created from the departed souls of ice type pokemon. It is said that the mist on its back is not mist, but a collection of the souls of the ice types.

Hipaku's hands are forever frozen with their fingers interlocked. If it would break this ice and free its arms, Hipaku's attacks would become weaker.

Hipaku is sometimes called the pokemon of wisdom because its frozen hands give the appearance that it is deep in thought.

Hipaku, along with Bourekka [link] and Rekirei [link] are sealed in urns somewhere in Onyo.
